Akademy Attendee Policy

KDE is dedicated to providing an enjoyable Akademy experience for everyone. As a community, we value and respect all people, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ability, shape, size or preferred desktop environment. We will not tolerate vilification, abuse or harassment in any form.

We appreciate that cultural differences may cause misunderstandings, so we will try to clarify these and smooth misunderstandings as they arise. But we also expect people to avoid playing dumb, and to make an effort to ensure a pleasant conference experience for everyone.

Akademy and Qt Contributors Summit Join Forces

In July 2013, Akademy will host the Qt Contributors Summit (QtCS) in Bilbao, Spain. QtCS is THE gathering of the Qt Project contributor community. It will take place on July 15th and 16th in the middle of the KDE Akademy conference week (13-19th July). By co-hosting, KDE and the Qt Project will increase their existing collaboration even further. Holding their annual conferences at the same time and the same place will foster interaction, knowledge transfer and technical progress.
